課程概述 |
BIM (Building Information Modeling) is an emerging technology that employs digital information models in the virtual space to achieve better quality and efficiency of construction and management work throughout the facility’s lifecycle. Through lectures, case studies, and hands-on application, this course is designed to teach students not only the knowledge of BIM Technology and its development and application potential but also the practical applications of BIM technology and tools. |
課程目標 |
To teach students
(1) the knowledge of BIM Technology and its development and application potential
(2) the practical applications of BIM technology and tools
So, they are equipped with a good understanding of BIM to self-learn more when needed.
After taking this course, the students should be able to:
(a) understand the fundamental knowledge of BIM technology, including its development, application potential, and the challenges and opportunities it presents.
(b) apply the BIM tools to improve the quality, efficiency, safety, and sustainability of engineering tasks (e.g. design and construction) along the lifecycle of a civil facility. |
